The Apostles of the Sacred Heart, committed to their continued sponsorship of Cor Jesu Academy, are excited to announce the addition of three sisters to the Cor Jesu faculty for the 2008-2009 school year. Cor Jesu will have nine faculty and staff members retiring at the end of the 2007-2008 school year. For the first time in its history, Cor Jesu is able to offer a Voluntary Early Retirement Program, which emerges from the mission and vision of CJ: affirming our teachers and all that they have shared with the CJ community and to recognize the years they have given to CJA. Some of the teachers retiring took advantage of this offer.
“I am happy that CJ is at a point in our history and in our growth that we are able to offer this program this year and express how grateful we are for all that these teachers have given to Catholic Education in general and to CJ in particular,” stated President Sr. Barbara Thomas, ASCJ.
These wonderful people have contributed much to CJ over their many years of service in the classrooms, the library and office. How grateful we are to them for their dedication to Catholic education, their friendship and their loyalty to Cor Jesu! Our many alumnae join us in gratitude for these incredible women. Cor Jesu is looking for an Assistant Coach for Varsity Basketball for the upcoming winter season. The season begins November 10. Practices will be from 3:30-5:30 p.m. The job description for this position is below.
